Sponsored Marketing Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 September 2026

Australian Directory Services Pty Ltd trading as Sponsored Marketing (Sponsored Marketing, we, us or our) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit SponsoredMarketing.com.au, enquire about or buy our services, use our Social Reach platform, or submit an enquiry through a campaign page we operate for a business client.

The business whose campaign page you use is responsible for its own collection and use of your enquiry. Its name should be identified on that page. Please also read that business's privacy notice or policy for information about how it will contact you and use your details.

1. Information we collect

Depending on your interaction with us, we may collect your name, business name, ABN, contact details, billing information, enquiry and booking details, communications with us, account details, campaign instructions and information you provide for a campaign. If you use Social Reach, the service may hold account activity, leads, enquiry forms, opportunity and CRM records, automated email records, notifications and campaign statistics.

When you visit our website or a page we host, we may also collect technical information such as your IP address, browser, device, pages visited, referring site, approximate location and access times. Where tracking tools are enabled on a page, they may also collect information about visits and interactions as explained in section 7.

We generally receive payment status, amount and billing details from the payment service used for your purchase. The payment provider handles card payment details. Please do not enter card numbers or sensitive personal information, such as health or financial records, into ordinary enquiry forms or CRM notes.

2. How we receive information

We collect information directly when you complete a form, book a call, make a purchase, create or use an account, contact us, or submit an enquiry. We may also receive information from a business client when it asks us to set up its campaign, from the services connected to an account, and from providers that help us process payments, send messages or operate the website and platform.

If you enquire through a client's campaign page, the information you enter is submitted for that client's business. The form records the enquiry in its Social Reach account and may trigger an email response to you and a lead notification to the client. The client can then contact you about your enquiry and manage your details in its CRM.

3. Why we use information

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, assess suitability for our services, set up and provide the agreed funnel and platform tools, administer client accounts, process payments, provide training and support, deliver form submissions and automated responses, notify clients about their leads, maintain security, troubleshoot problems, improve our services and meet legal obligations.

We may use contact details to tell you about Sponsored Marketing services where permitted by law. A person who submits a client campaign enquiry does not thereby agree to receive unrelated Sponsored Marketing promotions. The business client is responsible for its own follow up and marketing to its leads.

4. Information submitted to client campaign pages

When we provide a funnel and CRM for a business client, that client decides what it asks people to submit, what it offers and how it responds to enquiries. Sponsored Marketing supplies and operates the tools that receive and record the information and carry out the agreed automations. We may access that information when reasonably necessary to set up, support, secure or maintain the service.

Each client is responsible for giving people an appropriate notice on its form, obtaining any required permissions and using the information lawfully. A response to the specific enquiry is different from adding a person to an unrelated marketing list. If you have a question about how a particular business uses your enquiry, contact that business using the details shown on its campaign page. You can also contact us if you cannot identify the relevant business or need help directing a privacy request.

5. Who receives information

We may share information where reasonably necessary with the business client to whom an enquiry is directed, authorised staff and contractors who support the service, and providers of hosting, CRM, communications, payments, analytics, IT security and professional advice. We may also disclose information when required or permitted by law.

Our clients may connect their own accounts with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or Google to advertise. What information those services receive depends on the particular integration, advertising account and tracking tools enabled for a campaign. We do not assume that submitting an enquiry sends the full lead record to every advertising service. Those services handle information under their own privacy policies when they receive it.

We do not sell the leads collected for a client's campaign to other businesses. We do not use those leads to market unrelated Sponsored Marketing services to them.

6. Overseas storage and access

The Social Reach platform's published infrastructure information identifies cloud data storage and product infrastructure in the United States. Accordingly, information entered into the platform, including client leads and CRM records, may be stored and processed in the United States. Its published provider information also identifies support and other processing outside Australia, including in India. Authorised Sponsored Marketing staff or contractors may access account information from outside Australia when carrying out their work.

We use service providers to operate the platform and take reasonable steps appropriate to their role to protect information handled overseas. Other connected services may process data in additional countries depending on the tools a client enables. If we can identify a material change to the usual countries in which we disclose personal information, we will update this policy.

7. Cookies, analytics and advertising technology

Our website and campaign pages may use cookies and similar technologies needed for page operation, security, performance measurement or advertising measurement. If analytics or advertising tags are enabled on a particular page, the relevant provider may receive technical information about visits and interactions, such as device information, page visits and conversion events. A client's campaign page may use different tools from our main website.

You can control or delete many cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how a page works. Please contact us if you want to know which analytics or advertising tags are active on a particular Sponsored Marketing page. Where an additional choice or consent is required by applicable law, we will provide it on the relevant page.

8. Marketing and service messages

We may send you service communications about an account, purchase, booking, payment, security matter or requested support. These are separate from optional promotional communications.

Where we send promotional email or SMS, we will do so in accordance with applicable marketing laws. You may opt out using the instructions in the message or by contacting us. Opting out of promotions does not stop essential communications about a service you use. Business clients are responsible for the content and lawful sending of messages they direct to their own leads through Social Reach.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These include controlling account access, limiting staff access to work needs and using platform security features. The platform provider reports encryption for data in transit and at rest, account separation, monitoring, backups and security testing. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure. If you believe an account or information has been compromised, contact us promptly.

10. Retention and account closure

We keep information for as long as reasonably required to provide the service, respond to requests, maintain records, resolve disputes and comply with legal obligations. The length of time may differ for lead records, billing records, messages, security logs and backups.

Under our service terms, we send a client a CSV export of its available lead database when its platform access ends. The client may request a further copy within 90 calendar days after cancellation or closure, subject to identity checks. This 90 day period is a deadline for requesting an export, not a promise that all copies of personal information are deleted on day 90. Information may be deleted or de-identified when no longer required, subject to legal and technical retention requirements. If a person wants a client to delete or correct a lead record, that person should contact the client; we will assist as appropriate.

11. Access and correction

You may ask what personal information we hold about you and request correction if it is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Email [email protected] with enough detail for us to identify the information. We may verify your identity or authority before responding and will explain if we cannot provide access or make a requested change.

Where the request concerns a lead record held for one of our business clients, we may refer it to that client and help the client respond, as appropriate. We will not disclose another person's information or a client's confidential account information without proper authority.

12. Privacy concerns and complaints

If you have a privacy question or complaint, email [email protected] and explain the issue and the information involved. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable period. If the concern relates to a particular client's use of your enquiry, we may need to involve that client to resolve it.

If you remain dissatisfied and the Privacy Act applies, you may be able to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at https://www.oaic.gov.au/ after giving us a reasonable opportunity to respond.

13. Third party sites and changes to this policy

Links to other websites, and advertising, payment or social media services you choose to use, are subject to those providers' own privacy practices. We may update this policy when our services or information handling practices change. The current version and its last updated date will appear on this website.
